This bank wanted a system to enable analysts to compare company valuations based on reported accounts, daily market data and analyst forecasts.

The backend maintenance utility was built in Visual Basic. This brought together feeds from Reuters, Extel and an internal forecasting system. Administration users would use the utility to manage the consolidation of the feeds into a single data set for each company.

The architecture includes: A client-server system built with Visual Basic, Excel and Sybase
