New South Wales Government - Department of Lands

Electronic File Delivery

The NSW Department of Lands is a world leader in land management, maintaining 3.5 million land titles. It provides land-related information to hundreds of commercial and government organisations through electronic delivery of files.

DOL's existing electronic file delivery system (IDS) is based on outdated technologies that are not scalable, maintainable or extensible.

The existing system was documented (including data dictionary, system interfaces and user interfaces). Following this, a strategy for a replacement system was developed, presented and accepted by the client. The replacement system will integrate with DOL's service-oriented architecture.

Business analysis and technical consulting skills:

This was an Ajilon project with whom we partnered. Our responsibility was as follows:

  • Systems analysis
  • Data modelling
  • Functional specifications
  • Technical architecture

The replacement system is scheduled for development in 2007.
