Delivering your content on mobile devices

One of our most exciting new offerings is the ability to expose your business to hand-held devices such as mobile phones and tablets.

According to Nielsen, 43% of Australians own a smartphone and Gartner believe that by 2013, over 80% of handsets sold will be smartphones. The market is turbulent with Google adding 350,000 Android users every day (worldwide) to 170 different handsets. Comscore reports that Android is now the most popular smartphone platform (by market share). Given the recent partnership between Microsoft and Nokia, it will be interesting to see if together they can find some growth.

The beauty of platforms like Android and Apple's iOS is that they can be utilised on other devices. Tablets such as the iPad are taking market share from laptops in some markets. Before long TVs and other consumer products may be running Android. Near Field Communication for mobile-based payments is another area of interest, though this is likely to have a slow start. We believe the smartphone will eventually become your core computing device, albeit with a flexible docking station that will drive your monitor and other peripherals.

We focus on building mobile-enabled websites and mobile apps for smartphones.

Is it better to build an app or mobile-enabled website? Either way its usability must be optimised so that your customers are able to easily accomplish their goals.
